❤️ I adore Porto and have visited for countless weekend breaks and also for filming The Wine Show. 

But now there is a NEW exciting reason to visit.

This Autumn the Symington family launched Matriarca – an awesome three story townhouse inspired by their original family matriarch in Portugal – Beatriz!

Situated on the historic Carlos Alberto Square, this is a true wine mecca.

It offers wine lovers a super fun wine bar, elegant dining room, The Attic cocktail bar for nightcaps, a Cellar shop and even a Wine Academy room for creative workshops and interactive masterclasses.

Matriarca is the only place in the world to host the entire range of Symington fine and fortified wines and is the FIRST international outpost for @hambledonwineestate .

 An English sparkling winery which is 50% owned by the Symington family. I visited it for the first time this year but have enjoyed their bubbles for much longer.
