SNEAKING INTO… THE Decanter World Wine Awards Competition!

Wine labels AND judging competitions – what do they involve and what does it all mean?

The other week  I witnessed for myself the huge undertaking, precision and hard work which went into the 22nd year of the Decanter World Wine Awards.

I was blown away by:

🍷The calibre of judges (23 Master Sommeliers & 73 Master of Wine)

🍷 The vast and diverse number of wine entries with over 17,000 entries from over 50 countries

🍷How rigorous the process is – watch vid to hear about the different selection rounds

🍷 How sustainability is at the core of this huge operation. Aside from recycling wine bottles, left over wine is also recycled and sold back into the national grid as gas!

Results will be announced on the 18th June – so keep your eyes on the wine aisles…
